The PCJS facilitates communication between magistrates and national central authorities
in charge of international cooperation in criminal matters. Its mission has three main components:


Tailor-made tools have been designed for use by practitioners to help them facilitate the processing of their requests for international judicial cooperation.


The PCJS holds annual meetings and technical meetings of focal points each year in one of the member countries to:

  • Exchange on cases of judicial cooperation, possible challenges and solutions
  • Share best practices in judicial cooperation


Outreach missions in the Sahel countries are conducted by focal points to:

  • Facilitate and strengthen judicial cooperation
  • Promote the use of the PCJS among the criminal justice stakeholders
