On 30 April 2018 a representative of the Terrorism Prevention Unit of the Regional Office for West and Central Africa of UNODC had the pleasure of meeting the investigating judge and the dean of the investigating judges, as well as a public prosecutor and the focal point of the PCJS in Burkina Faso for a sensitization meeting of the PCJS.
They discussed the challenges Burkina Faso faces in the context of national and international criminal justice cooperation and the assistance that the PCJS could provide. Following the request of the authorities of Burkina Faso, the Terrorism Prevention Unit is planning to create a computer tool that would allow the PCJS focal points to track pending judicial cooperation requests.
